Partner in Education

Mobile Rock & Gem Society is a Partner in Education with Mobile County Public Schools.

Currently, the Partner in Education  Program in Mobile County links over 1,000 businesses, organizations, churches and individuals, who make an annual impact of over $2.3 million to our schools in Mobile County. The PIE Partnerships have one common theme, improving the quality of education in Mobile County for every child. The PIE program is coordinated for the Mobile County Public School System by the Mobile Area Education Foundation.

Community partnerships are designed to develop community-wide support for our schools by building an effective working relationship between the school and local community organizations and businesses. There are many resources we can share to provide a quality education for all of our young people.

Mobile Rock & Gem Society sponsors a Geology Club at Council Traditional School.

Environmental Studies Center

Twice a year, the Environmental Studies Center, located at 6101 Girby Road, has an open house.  Mobile Rock & Gem is proud to be an invited participant. 

Community Out-Reach

Mobile Rock & Gem participates in many community events around the Mobile area.  If there is an opportunity for us to educate the public and show off a lot of great rocks, we'll be there.
