Dickinson Family Farm in Alpine, AL. A Field Trip of the Mobile Rock & Gem Society.
The Dickinson family was kind enough to invite the society up to go rock hunting on their property. Many fine examples of Alabama Chert for collected, some quite large. A few sizable chunks ow sit outside the Mobile Rock & Gem world headquarters building (a.k.a "the clubhouse") as yard rocks.
