Here's something you don't see everyday...or actually, ever. This truly unique specimen is a chunk of quartz with a perfect arch of fluorite spheres growing on it.
This amazing specimen is on display at one of the dealer booths at the show. Sadly, it is not for sale.

MRGS is happy to welcome Guy Meador, flint-knapper extraordinaire back to the show this year.
Guy demonstrates ancient stone tool making techniques, and displays/sells some of his incredible hand-made points, knives, and tools. He also has tools for flint-knapping.

Doors open for Day 2 of the show at 9:00. Today is Small Business Saturday, and every one of the 30+ dealers at the show is a small business. They travel as much as 40 weeks a year to shows all over the country. This weekend they are with us…and we’re glad to support them.

Doors open at 1:00. The Gem Sluice is up and running. There is a large display of fluorescent minerals, and there are lots of activities for kids (of all ages).
